90-Day Power Up for Students of Aikido

Our sister company, Strength and Vitality Wellness Center, offers something that we call the 90-Day Power Up. This program is a a comprehensive functional medicine program that seeks to help you to cure whatever it is that’s ailing you. If you’re wondering what this has to do with the practice of Aikido, the answer is… a lot!

How Can the 90-Day Power Up Help You?

There may come a day at one point in your life, as a practitioner of Aikido, when you wake up and just don’t feel 100%. The 90-Day Power Up seeks to remedy that by addressing some of the most likely causes and targeting them with finely-tuned solutions from an expert who knows firsthand how tough Aikido can be on the body.

Whether you’re new to the art or a veteran of years and years, any martial art will eventually cause you some aches and pains.  Many regular athletes know that solutions like acupuncture can ease aches and pains from their practices, but not everyone who enters into the world of Aikido knows how it will impact their body. That’s why it’s so important to consider something like the 90-Day Power Up, which takes understanding one’s own health and wellness to another level.

In addition to acupuncture, another service beneficial to the martial artist is the sauna… or, in the case of the Strength and Vitality Wellness Center, the Infrared Sauna. This technological marvel can help your joint pain ebb with its healing heat. As your muscles relax more deeply than you’ve likely ever experienced, you’ll find yourself more limber, flexible, and better able to face any amount of training.

The Power Up isn’t only about experiences you will have in the Center, though. It’s also about learning tips, tricks, and strategies that you can take home with you to work into your daily routine for a healthier you. Having an expert look at and analyze your eating and sleeping patterns can allow issues that you never noticed to be pointed out and addressed. Once you (and your guide) are aware of those problems, you can better address them and make small changes toward a more energetic future. For example, if you have been struggling with a lot of joint pain, your consultant at the Center might notice a lot of inflammatory foods in your diet… thus revealing the source of the issue.

Learning about what foods and/or activities have which effects on the body is a crucial part of reshaping your lifestyle. Without this examination, you might not ever have the opportunity to realize you have a particular food sensitivity, or to learn just how big a role your blood sugar plays in your energy levels. Finally, if you are a veteran practitioner of Aikido, then you may have noticed a bit of weight gain: this, too, can be discussed within the consultation and adjusted accordingly. It’s perfectly normal, but it doesn’t have to be your norm.

There is a lot to Aikido that can be explained and aided within the 90-Day Power Up. You may be hesitant at first, but if you come in and speak with Cara-Michele, you’ll realize just how much the consultation can help you and how much energy you stand to gain. To learn more about how Aikido can be aided by an examination of your daily habits, get in touch with Falls Road Aikido.
